TODAY'S THE DAY! EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS.

If you can, go out and vote. Maybe you feel like it doesn't make a difference whether or not you vote or not, but why take the chance of not voting when it just might work and you might just make a difference? Every vote counts to some extent. When you show up and utilize your rights, we further protect those rights and we continue to tell our Government that we won't go down without a fight, we won't give up our rights easily, and we will make sure our voices are heard. What you do today, affects tomorrow and you want to wake up tomorrow and know you did what you can to make a difference in your cities and your country.

With that said, let's vote respectfully. Let's respect that we each have the right to vote however we see fit. It wouldn't be democracy if we all were forced to all vote the same. In fact, there would be no voting, no chance for your voice to be heard, no choices in what happens in our cities, our schools, our nation, if we all voted the same way. The Government is one section of what makes up America and it is truthfully a small section. It is us the people that make America. How we treat each other, our neighbors, our communities. We the people are what makes America great or breaks America down. We choose how we respond to racism, discrimination, hate and injustice. We can respond to hate with hate or racism with more racism, but we won't make changes or build a better future practicing an eye for an eye. Rather, than building on the bad, let's take what makes America great and build on that. Let's build on the kindness, the love, the light that is in the world. Let's spread the good news, highlight the good others do, and make changes in ways that don't spread violence, hate, and discrimination.

Go out, vote, make your voice heard. Then go do something good in your neighborhood. Pick up trash. Help an elderly neighbor. Pay it forward at your fave coffee shop. Leave a sweet random note on someone's car to make them smile. Say hello to someone you pass. Do something good and start to make the changes you want to see happen all over. Do for others what you want done for yourself. And remember the golden rule, if you don't have anything nice to say or good to do, say nothing at all or do nothing at all. You're either all in for making changes or you are not. You have the choices, make the ones that feel best for you.

Happy Voting.

XOXO
